Beyond research and technology, I create music of many different sorts, most recently and prominently for my jazz project Reflections, a reflection of my relationship with music and the people who I do and experience music with. I also play in a few other bands, including for We The Commas and Josue Vazquez. I also produce music and do session work for other artists across many different genres, such as hip hop, trap, rnb, jazz, and neosoul.

About the Music

Reflections is the musical dialogue of myself, Justin Bonagura Moran, where music acts as a mirror to our relationships. The sound deconstructs boundaries, fusing the energy of jungle and dance music with rich, soulful harmonies and ambient textures of modern jazz. Guided by deep collaboration between artists chosen out of love and respect, each performance becomes a unique conversation of emotions, a living sound that is simultaneously intricate, genuine, and profoundly expressive.

This year culminates with the release of Reflections, the ambitious 16-track, self titled debut album. A testament to the project's philosophy of connection, the record features a wide array of friends and respected mentors; no single track has the same lineup of artists. The singles "Nublado," "Kamau," and "Last Night" are available now, offering a glimpse into the album, with two more singles arriving before the full release at the end of 2025.
